Tomasz Jetka, PhD
Director of Data Science at Ardigen
Tomasz is a passionate mathematician turned data scientist, specializing in life sciences and biomedical applications. His research experience, ranging from wet lab experiments to rigorous theorems, has allowed him to push the boundaries of computational biology with novel discoveries in information theory.
 
However, Tomasz's true calling was working at the forefront of AI-driven drug discovery. He has an impressive track record of successful projects in biology, bioinformatics, target identification, and drug repurposing, collaborating closely with pharmaceutical research scientists and internal programs. Tomasz specializes in extracting insights from large biological and biomedical datasets. He played a significant role in developing a comprehensive AI system for target identification, and was part of the pre-clinical team that delivered the first end-to-end AI drug to the clinic.
 
Currently, Tomasz leads the Data Science Center of Excellence at Ardigen, where he oversees and drives the company's data science and artificial intelligence initiatives.

Tomasz Gargas is an accomplished data scientist with expertise in sequential data and knowledge graphs. He has successfully collaborated on multiple natural language processing projects in various languages including Polish, English, and French, utilizing classical and deep-learning techniques such as text classification, topic modeling, and named entity recognition. Being an amateur pianist, Tomasz has also applied machine learning to harmonic progressions.

Currently, Tomasz is part of the Ardigen team, where he specializes in ML techniques applied to large knowledge graphs for the generation of new scientific hypotheses. Tomasz's strong analytical skills, combined with his passion for innovation and problem-solving, make him a valuable asset to any team.
