Ittai Eres, PhD
Senior Scientist in Computational Biology
& Bioinformatics Technologies, Amgen

Ittai Eres is a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology & Bioinformatics Technologies at Amgen, where he plays a pivotal role in enabling epi/genomic analyses to drive deeper understanding of target and disease biology. He received his Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Chicago, focusing on gene regulation and comparative evolutionary genomics—with a particular emphasis on 3D genome conformation. At Amgen, his expertise is instrumental in developing pipelines and tools that empower scientists to conduct extensive epi/genomic analyses in the cloud, enhancing the company's research capabilities. In his free time, Ittai enjoys sharpening his strategic thinking through chess and staying active by playing soccer.

Ankit Malhotra, PhD
Worldwide Genomics Lead, AWS Health

Dr Ankit Malhotra serves as the Global Genomics Lead, Public Sector and Healthcare at Amazon Web Services (AWS). At AWS, Ankit helps healthcare and biomedical research customers in the public sector integrate genomics into their workloads, helping them accelerate and innovate using the AWS Cloud. With cross training in computer science, molecular biology, and genetics, he has over two decades of experience in the genomics industry.

Geraldine Van der Auwera, PhD
Lead Developer Advocate, Seqera

Dr. Geraldine Van der Auwera is Seqera’s Lead Developer Advocate, responsible for engaging and nurturing the Nextflow community. She previously spent 10+ years at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard heading outreach and communications for the Broad’s genomic analysis and pipelining software, including GATK, and co-authored the book “Genomics in the Cloud” (O’Reilly, 2020). She holds a PhD in bacterial genetics from the Université catholique de Louvain, in her home country of Belgium.

Kamil Malisz
Lead Nextflow Developer, Ardigen

Kamil is a seasoned life science software engineer with 7 years of experience, currently serving as the Lead Nextflow Developer. He specializes in developing pipelines and bioinformatic workflows, with expertise ranging from phage display data to whole-genome sequencing. A graduate in Bioinformatics from Jagiellonian University, Kamil has a strong foundation in biology and excels in managing complex software projects in the Nextflow environment. He also spent two years as a Tribe Leader, showcasing strong project management skills. 

Jing Xie
Head of GTM for MMCloud, MemVerge

Jing leads GTM and partnerships for MemVerge's cloud business.  He brings over 15 years of experience working with customers and partners at the intersection of cloud, data analytics, and HPC.  He loves diving in deep to solve customer problems and making AWS easier and more cost-effective to use than ever before through MemVerge solutions.
