Meet our speakers:
Olivia helps Healthcare and Life Sciences customers and partners design, develop, and scale state-of-the-art solutions leveraging AWS. She has a background in healthcare analytics, genomics, and privacy-preserving machine learning. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed research papers and patents on these topics. Prior to joining AWS, she was a Research Scientist at IBM Research and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
Kamil is a seasoned life science software engineer with 7 years of experience, currently serving as the Lead Nextflow Developer and Bioinformatic Workflows Key Offering Manager at Ardigen. He specializes in developing pipelines and bioinformatic workflows, with expertise ranging from phage display data to whole-genome sequencing. A graduate in Bioinformatics from Jagiellonian University, Kamil has a strong foundation in biology and excels in managing complex software projects in the Nextflow environment. He also spent two years as a Tribe Leader, showcasing strong project management skills. At Ardigen, Kamil not only contributes to Nextflow pipeline projects but also shapes strategic partnerships, making him a key asset in advancing bioinformatics workflow development.
Adrianto serves as the Director of Bioinformatics Engineering at Genomics England since 2021, where he leads a team of over 40 professionals specializing in bioinformatics and software engineering. Entrusted with technical leadership, he focuses on data & metadata management, as well as the pipeline orchestration of genomic data. His team plays a pivotal role in shaping the bioinformatics pipelines for both the NHS Genomic Medicine Service and the UK's 100,000 genomes project. Prior to Genomics England, Adrianto led the Omics Platform in AstraZeneca's UK R&D IT. His previous roles include key positions at Human Longevity and ImmunoScape. Earlier in his career, Adrianto worked in academic research in both Germany and Singapore. Adrianto holds a PhD in High Performance Computing in Bioinformatics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, with a thesis focus on DNA & protein-related bioinformatics tools for the Playstation 3.
